The Chippewa Flowage was created in 1924. Thedamming of the Chippewa River joined the waters of 11natural lakes, 9 rivers and countless streams. It iscomposed of over 15,000 acres of water with morethan 140 islands. There are in excess of 200 miles ofprimarily wild shoreline which will never be more than15% developed.

At the waters edge you may see deer, bear,herons, otters, eagles, beavers and even elk. TheChippewa Flowage provides a unique northwoodsfishery with a wide variety of species. Walleye, NorthernPike, Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and Perch are abundantalong with being a world class Musky Fishery!
