county health assessment it has been concluded that the people in Yavapai have “recognition of both the need and desire for exercise and the problem of obesity are two examples illustrating there is a desire for leading a healthy style” (p. 44).

Five public parks and a community center for our community and visitors to enjoy. Each park is equipped with BBQ grills and picnic areas that are wonderful for family outings

Monthly calendars with daily activities for families such as field trips, dances, theme nights

North Carolina The Move More Walking Map Guide provides step-by-

step guidelines to promote safe walking routes in and around communities, schools, worksites and faith-based organizations to encourage people to move more.

Joint use agreements were also created between local boards of education, school administrators, members of local government and community members to provide guidance on developing and adopting joint use agreements in North Carolina to create more physical activity opportunities for youth and adults.

Amount of aerobic physical activity adults should do : 150 minutes (2 hours and 30

minutes) a week of moderate-intensity

OR 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes)

a week of vigorous-intensity

Amount of Muscle-Strengthening adults should do: moderate or high intensity and

involve all major muscle groups on 2 or more days a week
