Avirusisnotconsideredas‘live’asitcannotreplicateoutsideofahost.Virusesenter and infect cells before using them to replicate and mutate, which caneventuallykillthecells.Anexampleofthisistheinfluenzaviruswhichattackstherespiratorysystem.
