“Come ride in my boat,”said Mr. Hippo.“We will have a picnic.”

Miss Hippo got in the boat.“Uh oh,” she said.“I have the hiccups.”

“Oh, good,” Miss Hippo said.“Tea will stop my hiccups.”

“I have a thermos.I will pour some tea,”said Mr. Hippo.

“That’s not what I meant!”

she said.

“Okay,” said Mr. Hippo.“This will stop your hiccups.”

Suddenly he threw the tea in her face!

Mr. Hippo got in the boat.

Miss Hippo’s face was wet.

Miss Hippo’s face was wet.

Miss Hippo liked her sandwich. Mr. Hippo was eating an apple.

“Uh oh,” said Miss Hippo. “I have the hiccups again.”

Miss Hippo was scared .

The picnic basket went in the water.

“BOO!” yelled Mr. Hippo.He was very loud.

“See?” said Mr. Hippo. He smiled. “I can scare hiccups away.”

“Uh oh,” she said. “I have the hiccups again.”

Mr. Hippo raised the oar over his head.

Miss Hippo was worried.

The oar hit Miss Hippo’s head.Her umbrella went in the water.

“See?” said Mr. Hippo.“Your hiccups are gone.”

“Uh oh,” she said.“I have the hiccups again.And they’re really bad.”

Suddenly,Mr. Hippo pushed Miss Hippo.

Miss Hippo went into the water.She made a big SPLASH!

“Here,” said Mr. Hippo. “I will pull you into the boat.”

“Now I will get your umbrella for you.See?” said Mr. Hippo. “Your hiccups are gone.”

“Now we can have a nice boat ride,” said Mr. Hippo.

“Huh!” said Miss Hippo. “I want to get out,” she said.

“Let me help you get out of the boat.”

“Here, take my hand,” said Mr. Hippo.

“Uh oh,” Mr. Hippo said.“Now I have the hiccups!”

“Let me help you stop your hiccups,” said Miss Hippo.

“See?,” she said.“I can stop your hiccups.”

“BOO!” she yelled.It scared Mr. Hippo so much he jumped.

“See?” said Miss Hippo.“I helped you, just like you helped me.Your hiccups are gone.”

“Bye,” she said.
