Starting international collaboration
• JITOL, a DELTA-project, 1992-94 – Just In Time Open Learning (through electronic networks)
– 12 partners, 8 countries, coord. by NeuropLab in France
– 3 fields / professions (medicine, consort/adm, ICT)
– paving the grounds for lifelong learning programmes
• Software and infrastructure fragile at the time– dedicated software, new developments (no www!)
– low capacity PCs and networks

NITOL• Norway-net with IT for Open Learning
– Norway-net introduced by a former minister of ed.• NOT a physical network, but an organisational principle
