of Poverty AnalysisFindings :

from year 2010, the poverty incidence ranking of the Province of Agusan Del Sur in the country has decreased from rank 3 to rank 17. There is high dependency of the

province in the Agri sector in poverty reduction.

There was limited growth of the Services sector particularly the Eco-tourism.

Shifting from “dole out” to economic and social protection since dole out mentality in development programs has developed a culture of dependency.

Expanding the revenue base by increasing productivity of the economic sector.

Recommendations :

A viable Provincial Development Framework must be developed immediately that reflects the new directions, reform agenda, thrusts and core value of the Provincial Government which is curtailed in this singular objective, poverty reduction.
