Pamela Martineau stated in the California School Boards association magazine:

“Forget the stereotype of a school librarian who sits behind the circulation desk checking out books with an ink stamp. In the new millennium, school librarians are more likely to be found sitting behind a computer as they update the library web page or create a wiki on genetically modified organisms. Or they might be seen holed up in the library computer lab as they lead students through tutorials on annotated bibliographies or Google docs.”

More reasons why

How I used I-SAIL

• Curriculum Mapping2010-2011 school year the 4th and 5th graders attempted their 1st Pathfinder. I had read Theodore Boone Kid Lawyer to them the first semester. The students had to choose a topic from the book to research. The students used Boolify to search for websites and then used Bibme to create a Works Cited page. www.lovington303.net

Use Continued

• Between the listening and researching skills, I aligned (81) Common Core State Standards English Language Arts (2010).

• They also took a field trip and watched a mock trial at the Moultrie County Court House.

Lesson plan samples

Google Docs. You should have 3 of my lesson plans. These are not

perfect, they are my attempts to begin using I-SAIL every day.

• November 7-11….had to change somethings during the week.

• December 5-9…..added at the top about copyright dates.• January 9-13….did not find a CC for K. keyboarding so

I just put the I-SAIL # and my superintendent was fine with that. Talk with administrators!!!!
