Review of Morphological Features• The body is deep. Surrounded by an inflated dermal membrane.• Robust in the head and trunk. The dermal membrane is thickens

in this area.• Tail is initially elongate and compressed. It then deepens with

growth.• Inflated dermal membrane surround the body.• There’re 19-21 myomeres (5-8 + 12-14).

Information of Sampling

This sample is taken from Southern of South China Sea (SCS). Especially in Western Kalimantan waters, around Natuna islands.

Taken on mid year 2005, in the collaborative research between Seafdec and Indonesian officers.

Sampling gear was bongo net of MV Seafdec 2.

Morphological Description (contd.)

• The body seem transparent.

• Deep body shape.

• Robust head and body.

• The specimen doesn’t have any pigmentation.

• Trunk at the frontal isn’t formed yet.

• Myomeres can’t be seen.
