1. First use/occasional use…social setting, first time, stress relief
2. Occasional Trouble with drug…mood swings, greater tolerance then others
3. Regular use of drug…tolerance increases, tries to control but cant, denies problem
4. Multiple drug use… combine or switch drug for stronger effect
5. Increasing Dependency…needs drug to function, drug does not have same effect, lose interest in things.
6. Total Dependency… Suffers from major loss, ROCK BOTTOM
