About Poornima University
Poornima University (PU) is a private research university located in Jaipur, India. The university was established by an act of the Rajasthan legislature in 2012 and is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). Currently it has more than 2700 students from all over the country enrolled in more than 60 programs. Its Architecture program is approved by Council of Architecture (CoA) and Interior Designing programs are approved by the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID).
Poornima University was awarded Best Upcoming University of India by ASSOCHAM, New Delhi in the year 2016. Recently PU is awarded as “Top Private University of Rajasthan” by Jagran Institute ranking 2018 and Award of “Excellence in University Results” by MyFM, Rajasthan. Motto of PU is “Your Dreams Our Goal”, following this Poornima admits students as they are and make them industry ready, employable youth and launches them on the path of career growth and success.

I congratulate Poornima University for bringing out the second edition of the Annual Hostel brochure of its two constitutive Hostels namely Himalaya and Gargi for session 2018-19. Hostel brochure allows the students to echo the bigger media field and build their writing speaking reporting skills and show hostel activities. Youth play vital role in nation building.
“We cannot always build the future for our youth
But we can build our youth for the future”.
In Poornima hostel, Life is full of opportunities and amusement. In the past 6 years PU
hostels has shown a tremendous growth rate in every aspect and has produced a
successful force of techno-gurus and managers. PU hostels have not only focused on
academics but also on the overall personality development and growth of every
individual residing in hostels. PU hostels have an aim of "stepping towards perfection".
Poornima University Hostels has a dedicated team who provides parents like caring to
each student and are available 24*7.
In nutshell it will not be an exaggeration to say that ‘only a hostel is the place where an
all-round development of personality is possible’.

About PU Hostels
Poornima University Hostels “A Home Away From Home” is a hub of academic, sports, cultural and social activities. It is said that home is sweet. But even then life at home cannot be compared to the life in a hostel. With more than 700 hostellers in the University, Poornima has the largest number in Rajasthan.
Poornima University provides separate hostel for boys and girls. Each hostel has spacious and semi furnished rooms offering a pleasant environment. The hostels are well-equipped with Wi-Fi facility, water purifier, water cooler and provision for indoor as well as outdoor games. The students housed in the campus are encouraged to use the gymnasium, playground and all indoor gaming facilities. These hostels also have home like dining facilities that offer fresh & nutritious food to the students. Hostels give an environment to create most effective conditions for student development. The hostels are located within the campus thus offering secured abode. The hostel is designed in such a way as to provide optimum utilization of student’s time for their overall personality development.

Why a Student must Reside in Hostel ???
At some point of time or the other, most of us have to step out of our homes and live in an absolutely new world, called hostel. It is not merely a building where people from various places with different backgrounds and different dreams come to live, but a lot more. GLIMPSE OF ACTIVITIES
Student Council of Poornima University is running "Poornima Paathshala" in Poornima University campus. The Paathshala is contributing in the noble cause of transforming the lives of underprivileged children & people residing in near by villages and slum areas of Jaipur.
Mess and Canteen Facilities
Mess facility is an integral part of the campus which provides nutritious homely food to all hostellers, day scholars, faculty & staff members and visitors. It provides 4 meals a day – quality food is prepared under strict hygienic conditions. The food is served in the dining area keeping all the sensitivities in consideration.
• All the hostel mess serves Vegetarian Food only and operates in self-service mode.
• The menu of the items is designed considering the requirements of the students and nutrition is added to make it healthy and complete.
• We offer morning tea with regular breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and tea, dinner and milk to all hostellers.
• The Canteen facility is available in all the 4 campuses of PF Hostels which comprises of healthy & delicious variety of vegetarian snacks & food.

3 Lock your room with a good branded lock.
3 Lock your room always, even when going out for short durations.
3 Keep your valuables and cash under lock.
3 Take special care of your mobiles and give your number to only to your near and dear ones.
3 Observe silence hours (10 pm to 6 am) every day.
3 Read the notice board (both at your college and the hostel) regularly.
3 Read the hostel rule book and follow the rules.
3 Contact your warden or chief warden or chief security officer in case of any problems.
3 Enter your complete details in the in-out Register when leaving the hostel for more than one day.
3 Obtain visitors pass well in advance for your visi t ing p a r e n t s / r e l a t i v e s o r a n y technician from the chief wardens office.
3 Dine in one of the mess of the institute.
3 Protect yourself against malaria.
3 Inform your warden/chief warden if you are sick.
3 Follow the code of conduct for the students. Take care – your life is precious – we value it.

• THE STUDENT who wishes to reside in the hostel is not allowed to leave the hostel during the MID-SESSION except in the case if he/she has been expelled from the hostel on account of disciplinary action / misconducts / short attendance etc.
• Hostel Fee is NON REFUNDABLE except Caution Money. In case the student has been expelled from the Hostel on account of disciplinary action / misconducts / short attendance etc. his/her hostel fee and Hostel Caution Money will automatically be forfeited. No claim for any kind of refund will be entertained.
• No hosteller will be permitted to continue to occupy hostel room, unless he / she pay hostel dues within stipulated time. Any delay in payment of dues will attract fine as per rules.
• Use of intoxicants (Alcohols and drugs) and smoking is strictly prohibited by law.
• Ragging is strictly prohibited by law. Any hosteller found indulging himself / herself directly / indirectly in indisciplinary activities like theft case / ragging / fighting / quarrelling / use of abusive language / misbehave with fellow students, juniors / seniors within campus or with outsiders at public places and also with Staff members, the disciplinary action shall be initiated against him / her as deemed necessary or may be handed over to police for legal proceedings according to nature of offence for which entire responsibility lies on the concerned hosteller.
• The hosteller is required to follow the Mess timings & Mess Regulations meticulously.
• No hosteller is allowed to use stove, heater, iron, cooler, immersion rod etc. unless specifically permitted by the competent authority.
• The Hosteller is expected to avail facilities provided for personality development and enhancement of Professional skills & knowledge by the University Management.
• No hosteller will leave university or hostel campus, unless he / she obtains out pass issued by concerned hostel Chief Warden / Warden and duly recorded in Movement Register available at Main / Hostel Gate.
• Lodging and boarding facility may be made available for parents on advance booking on payment of Rs.1000/- per room per person, per night by concerned hosteller for 2 days only. THIS FACILITY IS AVAILABLE FOR PARENTS ONLY.
• Rooms are available for the PhD scholars at a subsidised rate of Rs 1000/- per person per room per night inclusive of all meals.
