The St. Johnsville Fire Department has received a 3 KW Generator from government surplus allotted through Civil Defense.
It will be used as a portable lighting outfit.
Firemen were scheduled to pick it up at a warehouse in Albany, Tuesday of this week.
It has a water cooled engine, capable of illuminating a large area with lead lamps.
Plans are under study as to means of making the best use of it.
Fire Chief William Van Slyke w?s elected chairman for the Firemen's Fair for this year and is to appoint his own co-chairman at a later date.
