LOOK AT OUR DEFINITION OF PERSONAL BRANDING

Personal branding is the established practice of people ‘marketing themselves’ and their careers as a type of ‘brand’. The practice is usually used to help individuals ‘differentiate themselves’ in a very crowded job market. If done well personal branding can help individuals to be perceived as more ‘memorable’ and ‘unique’ in communicating their talent, expertise or value adding properties. Personal branding also implies that a consistent message is given of the person’s brand (i.e. their online presence, resume, professional attire and communication style) are all therefore consistent, well thought out and highly professional and engaging.
