Jaipur Metro Rail project, a company under the name Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited was incorporated on 01.01.2010 under Companies Act,1956.

Pile Casting

1. Hopper is used for concreting in the piles.

2. From the transit mixer concrete discharge into the hopper directly.

3. Tremie pipe is always dipped into the concrete.

Excavation for pile cap.

1. After concreting is done casing is taken out.

2. In the Chipping process top concrete of the pile is removed.

3. Chipping is done to the cut off level.

Pile Cap

1. Reinforcement is laid into the trench and shuttering is provided on the sides.

2. Pier reinforcement is laid with the pile cap reinforcement.

3. Concreting is done by the boom pipe.

Chipping of Pile

1. Top of the pile is removed manually.

2. Cause:- At the top of the pile silt is collected which make it weak.

3. After chipping p.c.c provide a bed to the pile cap.

Pier

1. The size of pier is 1.8 m to 2.0 m dia. of cir. shape.

2. A required clearance of 5.5 m on road side.

3. The min. ht. of rail above the existing road is 8.4 m.

4. An outward slope of 1:200 will be provided at the pier top for the drainage due to spilling of rain water.

Crash barrier

1. A wall is cast around the pier at the road level, which is known as Crash barrier.

2. The gap of 25 mm is maintained between pier and crash barrier

3. It works as a shock absorber. And to protect the pier from the damage by the road accident.

Pier Cap

On the pier Pier Cap is casted, than shear key is casted.Grade of Concrete- M45

Span Laying

1. Precast Segments lifted & layed by Launching Girder.2.Than Gluing, Threading, Prestressing & Grouting is done.

Side View of a span

1. Span of the segment varies according to the design i.e.21, 24, 28, 31, 34, 37m.

2. Each Segment has a different shape & weight.

Auto Launching

1. Shifting of Launching Girder to next span is called Auto Launching.

2. Launching Girder consists of-

∙Main Box Girder ∙Front Support ∙Middle Support ∙Rear Support ∙Rear Trolley ∙Slider Beams

Gluing,prestressing, grouting

Parapet Segment Launching

1. After the Grouting, Parapet Segment Launching is done.

2. Parapet Segment weight 3.8 ton.

3. Segment is launched by Gantry by means of a vellar or lifter.

Cut & Cover method

1. Procedure used for construction of Chandpole Metro Station.

2. D-Wall cage is inserted into the ground.

3. Work is done from top to bottom.

Ramp section

1. Ramp Section is provided for access of metro from elevated to underground metro station.

2. In ramp section, they were using timbering process to retain the soil.
