Why a skeleton?-Evokes terrifying visions that most people are afraid of

Why a little girl?-Easily scared. Holding a teddy bear for comfort.

Background What is the background representing?-The stars and moon convey that it is nighttime. The little girls room has turned into a graveyard. Significance of tombstone?-Tombstone says

FOREVER. Most significant message in the artwork.

ForegroundWhy dead flowers?-Graveyard environment. Representation of death and decay.Why is the headboard of the bed made of bones?-Also another representation of a classic nightmare.

Nightmare Why is the album labeled Nightmare?-The album is a nightmare for the band due to the loss of their best friend, Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan.-Originally entitled “Welcome to the Family”, “Nightmare” was more appropriate for the band’s situation.

LogosLogical Appeal?-Even though most people won’t admit it, they’re intrigued by things that frighten them. For the young girl, her worst nightmare is the skeleton haunting her.
