Scenario

Following the recent bombings in Israel a large Jewish population

has moved to Hedge End.

They will be attending Wildern School.

So what?

Miss Litton has been asked to make changes to the school in order to

accommodate the Jewish families.

What kind of changes?

One of the biggest changes will need to be to the kitchen and dining facilities at Wildern.

So, what’s the homestudy?• You are the head of a

large architect company• You have been asked to

put in a proposal for the redesign of the kitchen and menu at Wildern to make it fit for the new Jewish families

Tasks to complete

1. Find out what the word KOSHER means and what the KOSHER FOOD LAWS are

2. Find out what must be included in the layout of a Jewish kitchen and draw a design for the head. Make sure you explain the design by adding labels

3. Design a two week school menu which is Kosher and meets all the Jewish food laws

4. Write up your proposal letter to Miss Litton
