programmed to live a certain way. Humans are

programmed to take what is theirs, and to stop at

nothing to get it. Humans are a threat to Nature

and all of its beauty. But Humans, can also think.

And humans, can also dream. But what do these

d ro ids dream abou t? Maybe they dream abou t

more destruction. Maybe they dream about a

world full of trees, and flowers. Or perhaps they have

a desire to bathe in the warmth of the Sun.

But when this dreamer wakes up, will this fantasy

world become real, or wil l she realize that

she’s still asleep?

The vehicles honked their vibrant red wheels and raced across the scene. I wanted to run with them, catch them in a frame and store them in my home.

Q. Xie is not for the simple simpleton. As Cecilia herself explains, her new line is “mysterious, creepy, and weird.” Each piece is a breathing entity that acquires admiration and respect. Fashion designer, Cecilia Q. Xie will launch her new line, Q. Xie in select Barneys New York stores this September. Barneys New York has always played with what the convention of “normal” is with its witty sense of humour. But now, it’s time to get intellectual on yo’ bad self. More advent-garde than her previous works, Q. Xie is to be worn as an artistic expression of one’s inner Cubist. Strong lines and distorted details of layers challenge the perspective of an onlooker to take a closer look. And texture, a signature of Cecilia’s, dares the sense of touch to grab a hold of a personality. So be sure to tread lightly, but deep enough to gander with the curious.
