ü THIS REGISTRATION PROCESS & SOFTWARE HAS TO BE RUN IN THE LAPTOP YOU HAVE PURCHASED UNDER ONGC SCHEMEü MAKE SURE THE LAPTOP SPECIFICATIONS ARE AS PER THE ONGC LAPTOP SCHEMEü DO NOT RUN IT IN YOUR OFFICE PC, CORPORATE VPN SERVER OR ANY OTHER LAPTOPSü CAUTION: ONCE SUBMITTED, THE DETAILS CANNOT BE CHANGED.

DOWNLOAD THE APP FOR YOUR PLATFORM

Download and Run the SoftwareON THE LAPTOP YOU HAVE PURCHASED

Apple MAC User:Download the M1 Mac App if yourprocessor is the newest M1 chip

PRE-REQUISITES

o Make sure that your laptop is connected to a good internet connection

o For Users in ONGC OFFSHORE, Please Disable your proxy settings.

INSTALLATION - MAC

OPEN THE DOWNLOADED DMG FILEON YOUR PURCHASED MAC

DRAG THE SOFTWARE ICON INTO APPLICATIONS

OPEN THE APP FROM YOUR APP DRAWER

NOTE FOR MAC USERSo If a popup comes saying laptop-register is damaged and cant be opened

o Follow the guide on the next page

WARNING IN MAC M1 LAPTOPSo Open Terminal by Pressing Command (⌘) and Space button together and type in the word “Terminal”

o Type the command xattr -cr /Applications/laptop-register.app and Press Enter

NOTE FOR MAC USERS

o If a popup may appear prompting to install “Rosetta”, Go back to laptopregister.ongc.co.in and Download the M1 mac version of the App.

Otherwise, double click the App Icon on Desktop

LOGIN WITH DOMAIN CREDENTIALS

In case of failed login,cross check your password bylogging into ONGC Reports

CROSS CHECK YOUR LAPTOP SERIAL NO, MAKE AND MODEL

ENTER THE RELEVANT DETAILS

Any additional Software requirementsLike SAP, Trend Micro are fulfilled by theInfocom of the corresponding location

ACCEPT THE CHECKBOXES TO ENABLE SUBMIT BUTTON

In case of failed submission, contactInfocom of your Location

If any Server related Error appears,Wait for a few minutes and trySubmitting again.

Adjustment is to be done oncethe laptop specs have been submitted to the system
