Lean Enterprise is a business philosophy that focuses on improving productivity by maximizing value-added activities while minimizing waste. Lean leads the way to productivity improvement and an immediate return on investment of, on average, 4:1 or four dollars returned for every dollar spent. Lean allows organizations to be more productive, more efficient and quality focused, and better able competitive challenges of the future.

LEAN ENTERPRISE SESSIONS
Session I
Session 2
- Lean Enterprise Principles – Simulation - In this workshop you’ll learn the lean enterprise principles and how to apply them in a manufacturing
operation. Through a simulated factory you’ll apply lean concepts such as standardized work, visual signals, batch-size reduction, pull systems,
and more. Experience firsthand how lean improves quality, reduces cycle time, improves delivery performance and reduces WIP and enables to
show a profit. By the end of the day, you’ll be convinced that the key to your business’ improvements and its ability to be com petitive correlates
with the ability to eliminate non-value-added activities. During this workshop, you’ll see that you can significantly reduce manufacturing cycle
time up to 90%, improve on-time shipments up to 90%, reduce work in process up to 90%, improve quality up to 50%, and reduce fl oor space up
to 75%.
Session 3
Session 4
- The 5S + 1 System / Visual Management
• Sort through — all items and remove unneeded ones
• Set in order- remaining items, set limits, create temporary location indicators
• Shine or clean- everything and use cleaning as inspection
• Standardize - first three S’s by implementing visual displays and controls
• Sustain - gains through self-discipline, training, communication and total employee involvement
Agenda al dorso
- Pull Systems/Kanban
This course introduces participants to the principles of Pull Systems/Kanban, applies them in practice exercises and demonstrates how they can
be implemented in a variety of manufacturing situations.
-Kaizen Blitz / Performance Metrics
This methodology applies to the implementation of the different lean manufacturing tools such as the 5S’s of Workplace Organization and
Standardization, Cells, Pull/Kanban, Setup Reduction, Quick Changeover
Session 5 - Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to establish a comprehensive and ongoing productive maintenance program that covers the entire life of the
equipment. You’ll learn how to optimize the equipment effectiveness and maximize the return on your equipment investment. The course will
explore tactics for successfully coordinate the use and maintenance of equipment among related departments, teams and groups. The goal of
TPM is to eliminate losses tied to equipment operation by means of operating the equipment producing only good product, as fast as possible
with no unplanned downtime.

Session 7
Session 8
– A3, Problem Solving
• Problem solution planning model-PDCA
• Understand the role of data collection and measurement in problem solving
• Distinguish between problems and symptoms- characterize a problem
• Obtain and evaluate information that is needed to solve a problem
•Applicable problem analysis tools familiarization:
Cause and effect diagram (fishbone)
Identify and interpret a Pareto chart, a control chart.
• How to devise and prepare a problem-solving plan
Session 9
– Quick Changeover with Simulation
Setup reduction is a process improvement activity targeted at reducing the amount of time and effort required to change over production from
one product to another.
Session 10
– Work Cells
It is the most efficient combination of resources to attain the process effectiveness to insure continuous product or service f low.
- Value Stream Mapping
Value Stream Mapping is the tool used to draw the material and information flow of a process.

Hoshin Planning / Kata - This session introduces the concepts of the Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata helping attendees learn how to apply
them in their organizations to create the culture of continuous improvement and learning by means of management practices and practical
guidance for leading and developing people in a way that makes the best use of our human brainpower. By the end of the day, participants will
be have a better understanding of how to:
1. Make improvement and adaptation part of everyday work throughout an organization.
2. Develop and utilize the capability of everyone in the organization to repeatedly work toward the achievement of new levels of performance.
3. Give the organization the power to handle dynamic, unpredictable situations to successfully satisfy the customers
