Color the picture of Jesus’ friend, Saint Paul.
Special Lesson 1:Feast of All SaintsIn this lesson, the children learned that the Feast of All Saints celebrates holy people who were followers of Jesus. They learned about Saint Paul, an apostle who preached the Gospel on his many travels and wrote letters telling others about Jesus. The children participated in a parade as friends of Jesus. They made lanterns to remember that saints showed Jesus’ light when they were on earth.
Your ChildEncourage your child to show care for others by modeling considerate behavior and speech. Praise your child for acts of kindness.
Refl ectBe kind to one another. (Ephesians 4:32)

• Have your child join you in an outing such as donating to a food bank and talk about the value of caring and generosity.
• Have your child help you make cupcakes or another treat for the Feast of All Saints.

Your ChildOn Christmas Day, try to keep your child focused on Jesus, God’s gift to us, more than on the presents he or she receives. Stress that Christmas is a feast of love. Circle the things that help fl owers grow.
Special Lesson 4: LentIn this lesson, the children were introduced to Lent, a time to grow in God’s love as we prepare to celebrate Easter. They talked about how seeds grow into plants. They heard Jesus’ words about seeds dying to produce much fruit. Ask your child about the seeds he or she planted. If the seedlings were brought home, help your child care for them.
Your ChildLent often corresponds to the change of seasons from winter to spring. Observing signs of new life in the natural world around them prepares children to comprehend the signifi cance of Jesus’ Passion, Death, and Resurrection. Especially during Lent, take time to help your child notice nature’s transformation from death to new life.
Refl ect“Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.” (John 12:24)
PrayJesus, help us grow always in God’s love.
Do• Allow your child to help with springtime
gardening activities.• Tie two twigs to make a cross. Set it in dirt in
a fl ower pot or cup. Help your child plant grass seeds around the cross.
• Display a cross or crucifi x during Lent and include a special Lenten prayer at mealtimes or at bedtime.

Draw fl owers in the grass and blossoms in the tree.
Special Lesson 5: EasterIn this lesson, the children learned that Easter is a celebration of new life. They talked about new life seen in the spring, such as baby animals, fl owers, and butterfl ies. They told and sang about what they can do because they are alive. Although three-year-olds are too young to comprehend that Jesus died and rose again, they are led to associate him with new life. Display the butterfl y your child made in your home.
Your ChildAs young children experience surprise and joy at fi nding an Easter basket on Sunday morning, they share the emotions of the fi rst Christians who witnessed Christ’s Easter miracle. Enjoy the beauty and freshness of the Easter season with your child. Take a walk or play in a park.

(Juan 10:10)
OraciónJesús, llénanos de alegría y esperanza.
