Like ser, this is a completely irregular verb…. …but also very useful!

Ir a lugar. Ir a infinitivo.
Ir can be used to talk about
going somewhere.
Ir can be used to talk about going to do something.
Because a el sounds like al, a el is always written as the contraction al.
