4 year programmes
It is possible to transfer to a 4 year programme and take an additional year between Level 2 and 3
Students may take either a Year in Industry or a Study Year Abroad
Academic Requirements - a Year 1 average of at least 50 for a Year in Industry and 60 for a Study Year Abroad
LUBS 4 year programmes: Benefits
Gain confidence in job seeking
Develop valuable skills and experience
Earn a salary (average £15k)
Enhance employability
Improve final year grades and possibly gain a better degree
classification
Clearer idea about future career direction
May be offered a job on graduation
Accounting Placements
All of the big 4 firms now offer one year placements and effectively use
them as a one year interview
Placement students are treated the same as graduate recruits, have
the chance to do professional exams and to return where they left off -
this means that the placement does not add a year, it merely gives an
earlier chance to apply
There are many other finance placements, for example, at Lloyds TSB,
IBM and Goldman Sachs
And another thing…
There will be an ACCA accreditation talk in G31
from 1.00 till 1.30 pm. (Friday)
The ACCA will also have a stand in the foyer
