We build homes for the future. We believe a green home is not simply a home built using sustainable materials and methods, it must also be a home that has a very small carbon footprint during its entire useful life. A home for the future is one that consumes very little energy because it needs very little.

A home for the future must provide high levels of comfort, indoor-air-quality, good design and function in addition to performance.

ARLINGTON PASSIVE HOUSE

PROJECT NARRATIVEThe Arlington Passive House is both extremely energy-efficient and comfortable. Using the Passive House approach, this home is super-insulated and built air-tight to minimize heat loss and draft. The home is oriented to take full advantage of solar energy. A dedicated ventilator constantly exchanges and purifies indoor air, ensuring ultra-healthy indoor-air-quality. A high-efficiency mini-split system delivers the very small heating/cooling needs for the most extreme days of the year. Functionally, this home provides generous and logical indoor and outdoor space for living and playing. The landscape is custom-designed to complement the home and enhance the overall experience to new levels.
