Please describe overall achievements, positive developments, key challenges and suggestions forimprovement towards bringing people together in the same space seen the past year (April 2018 - April2019). Note that this section will be used to draft your individual country profiles in the SUN Movementannual progress report.

We have improved on national high-level engagement including meeting with the President, Ministers ofline-ministries, legislatures. MSP meetings are regular/monthly and meetings minutes recorded.Ongoing multi-sectoral discussions with line ministries and partners on implementation of activities.CSO decentralized in 4 counties and structure established.

National nutrition policy updated and validated. The Country national plan prioritizes stunting reductionand planning process has began to ensure multi-sectoral policy and strategies development. Legalframework (National Public Health Law) also reviewed.

Data from budget tracking exercises (2) for advocacy is available. However, domestic resourcesmobilization for nutrition remains slow due to limited political will, commitment and nutrition champion.Not withstanding, financial data is available for advocacy and the process has been initiated.

Key challenges are limited domestic financial commitment and donorfatigue to the nutrition sector. Suggestion for improvement include improved coordination andstrengthen advocacy activities.

We have accomplished 4 of 6 previous priories: set up of SUN national secretariat, president appointnew focal point, establish MSP and develop NNP. Key challenges were change in leadership and fundingmobilization. Looking ahead to meeting our priorities we have to be proactive in maintaining themomentum. Continue advocacy and lobbying for enabling environment for nutrition.

The purpose of the meeting was to Create NutritionAwareness for Decision Making. The outcome of the meeting with the speaker was toorganize a one-day engagement and awareness raising meeting with members of the Houseof Representatives.
