You would be glad to know that District 323 E2 shall be organizing an “INTERNATIOANAL YOUTH FESTIVAL” from 6th January 2012 to 12th January 2012. The festival would be held at historical, cultural and heritage city of Rajasthan (India) known as Jodhpur.
The city is well known world over for culture, beauty, festivity and tourism. The attractive historical monuments, traditional culture and culinary are well known and are of great interest to foreign as well as Indian tourists.
The objective of the festival is to make the youths of world aware about Indian culture, its rich heritage and monuments which are architectural splendor, to have a test of our hospitality & culinary and knowledge of values we attach for a common world citizenship. During the festival Seminars, Rallies, Lectures, Adventures and Cultural Programs will be arranged, so that the youth may mingle amongst themselves, exchange ideas and views breaking all the linguistic barriers.
We invite you and all the Lion youths to participate in the festival in large numbers to make it a grand success and memorable event. Gender is no barrier. Both Girls and Boys are welcome to participate. We shall make all necessary arrangements relating to boarding, lodging and sightseeing for the participating youth. Our endeavor would be to make your stay comfortable and memorable. In January 1993 and 1997 District 323 E2 had organized similar International Youth Festivals very successfully.

USEFUL INFORMATION
Weather : During the festival the nights shall be cold and heavy woolens are recommended. Temperature : Jodhpur 23 – 25° (day) 10 – 12° C (night)
In January Language : English & Hindi.
Shopping Jodhpur is famous for handicrafts which include a wide range of wood craft including decorative articles, garden & antique home furniture. A unique printing method-Tie & Dye on a range of variety of cloth is a treat for women wear. White metal and brass statues and decorative pieces can make all the difference in the décor of your home.
THE VENUES
Gateway of Great Indian Desert Thar, the imperial city Jodhpur, attracts thousands of tourists from across the world. The graceful palaces, forts and temples stews throughout the city bring alive the historic grandeur of the city. In the background of sounds of desert magnanimity and elegance of Meherangarh Fort stands tall (on a 150 meter hill) overlooking the 550 year old city. The fort has galleries, museum & temples besides several either attractions. High on another hill at the east end of the city is India’s most imposing and recent palace made of sand stone, known as Umaid Bhawan Palace. Over three thousand artisan constructed the palace. Lending a romantic aura the Clock Tower blesses the brightly attired shoppers in the heart of city. Age old traditional water reservoirs are symbols of the wits of the then architects. Exquisite handicrafts, folk dancers & folk music leaves visitors with lasting memories.
Osian, an oasis in the Desert of Rajasthan is a small town 60 km. away from Jodhpur. The town houses marvel of contemporary architecture the 8th Century Sun Temple and 11th Century Sachiya Mata Temple.
