LIPA’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®

It starts with a home energy audit. Performed by a participating LIPAcontractor accredited by the Building Performance Institute, this comprehensiveassessment takes a “whole house” approach, assessing your heating and coolingsystems; air leakage through windows and doors; insulation; and more.Following the assessment, your LIPA contractor will discuss efficiencyimprovements, costs, and estimated annual energy savings. If you have centralair conditioning you may also qualify for LIPA’s Home Performance Directprogram. This special program offers high energy use homeowners a FREEenergy audit, FREE CFLs, and FREE attic and duct sealing.

LIPA efficiency rebates up to $4,000 Now through December 31, 2011, LIPA is offering customers with central airconditioning or through-wall air conditioners enhanced rebates of up to 50% ofproject costs – to a maximum of $4,000 - for qualifying home improvement measures performed by a LIPAcontractor. With FREE audits and low interest financing available through NY State’s Green Jobs/Green NYloan program (www.energyfinancesolutions.com), combined with LIPA rebates, creating a more energyefficient home has never been more affordable. Federal tax credits for 2011 may also apply.
