MAY THEY REST IN PEACEPlease remember in your prayers Wesley Walker who died this week. Eternal rest grant onto him, oh Lord, and may your consoling love be with his family and friends.
BLESSING OF HOLY WATERHoly water is a “sacramental”, an object of prayer, or devotion that is meant to bring us closer to God! As part of our efforts to keep our worship space safe, Holy Water fonts in the church are not filled at this time. Next weekend, June 6 & 7 is Trinity Sunday and parishioners at home and in the church will have the opportunity to have their small containers of water blessed at the end of Mass. If you want Holy Water for your house and family, please have your container of water with you at the end of Mass. Fr. Matt will bless the water, which you can then use.

ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION“My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.Amen.”
SPRING CLEAN-UP “THANK YOU”“A great big thank you to all the men who joined in the IC clean up Saturday, May 23! A few good men cranked out a lot of quality work in a short amount of time. The parish grounds look much, much better and ready for this weekend! Father Matt was very thankful as he pitched in and helped. We had a few younger men that really helped and would love to see more next time! Thanks again and have a blessed and enjoyable weekend with this beautiful weather!”
IMMACULATE CONCEPTION PARISH GRADUATESCongratulations to all of our Immaculate Conception Parish students who have completed their elementary, secondary or college levels of education. We are proud of you and hope you will always consider Immaculate Conception your home.
PLEASE WELCOMEDEACON ONDREYDeacon Stephen Ondrey has been assigned to Immaculate Conception for the summer. Please welcome him to our parish.“I grew up a cradle Catholic in a military household in Columbus, Ohio. I am an identical twin, and the last of six children. I
worked as a genetic researcher at The Ohio State University for several years before moving on to a career in dentistry. I have been practicing general dentistry for the past ten years. I attribute my conversion back to the Church and my vocational discernment to Our Blessed Mother, Mary, after my first pilgrimage to Medjugorje in 2011. It was in Medjugorje that I renewed a great love for Jesus in the Eucharist, and returned to daily Mass and the sacraments, especially the sacrament of reconciliation after 23 years. I continue to hold a strong devotion to Our Lady. I look forward to meeting each of you and you will be in my prayers.”Deacon Stephen Ondrey
JACOB STINNETT TOBE ORDAINED A DEACONPlease keep seminarian Jacob Stinnett in your prayers. Jacob, a son of the parish, will be ordained a transitional deacon on Friday, June 13 at St. Joseph Cathedral. The ordination may be live-
streamed. Go to the diocesan website at www.columbuscatholic.org for more information. Following ordination, Deacon Jacob will assist and preach at the IC Sunday Masses on June 14. He is assigned at St. Pius X this summer.

Immaculate Conception Church May 31, 2020 Pentecost Sunday Catechism Corner “The mission of Christ and the Holy Spirit is brought to completion in the Church, which is the Body of Christ and the Temple of the Holy Spirit. This joint mission henceforth brings Christ’s faithful to share in his communion with the Father in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit prepares men and goes out to them with his grace, in order to draw them to Christ. The Spirit manifests the risen Lord to them, recalls his word to them and opens their minds to the understanding of his Death and Resurrection. He makes present the mystery of Christ, supremely in the Eucharist, in order to reconcile them, to bring them into communion with God, that they may ‘bear much fruit.” [Jn. 15:8, 16] (CCC, 737)
On February 11, 2018, the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments inscribed…a new obligatory Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, into the General Roman Calendar. This memorial is celebrated every year on the Monday after Pentecost. Latin liturgical texts….were also promulgated the same day. Prayer: O God, Father of Mercies, whose Only Begotten Son, as he hung upon the Cross, chose the Blessed Virgin Mary, his Mother, to be our Mother also, grant, we pray, that with her loving help your Church may be more fruitful day by day and exulting in the holiness of her children, may draw to her embrace all the families of the peoples. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

“O God, who by the mystery of today’s great feast sanctify your whole Church in every people and nation, pour out, we pray, the gifts of the Holy Spirit across the face of the earth and, with the divine grace that was at work when the Gospel was first proclaimed, fill now once more the hearts of believers. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.”
Sts. Marcellinus and Peter Saint Watch Feast Day – June 2 -- Died circa 304 Marcellinus was a priest and Peter an exorcist in Rome’s Christian community. They were arrested and imprisoned during a persecution by Emperor Diocletian. In prison, they converted many people, including their jailer and his family. They were condemned to death and beheaded, supposedly in secret, in a nearby wood. But their executioner disclosed the deaths after his conversion. Pope St. Damasus I wrote an epitaph for their tomb, over which Emperor Constantine later built a church in which he buried his mother. This pope also reported that he learned the details of their martyrdom from the executioner himself. Marcellinus and Peter are among the saints named in the Roman Canon of the Mass.
Prayer for Vocations O Father, you desire all of us to be happy. Stir up the grace of a religious vocation in the hearts of many men and women. Grant to them the willingness and generosity to give of themselves, their lives, their time and their talents to the service of Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord and Savior, and to His Holy Church. May more men and women go forth as priests, deacons, brothers and sisters to bring the truths of our Catholic faith to all others so that soon they, too, may know You better and love You more... and serving You, be truly happy. Amen. STUDY/WATCH: FORMED picks for this week “FORMED Live: Bible Study on the Gospel of Matthew” -- with Drs.
