Mugurii/Buds

An evening wind

fervent kisses the twilight sky

And pulls off straws of blood on her cheek.

Laid in the grass I tore with my teeth

Thinking nowhere- the buds

of a springlike offshoot.

I say to myself: “From sore

Buds blossom heavy cups of nectar”

And warm from ground I startle

Of the sore of my young passions.

Lumina raiului/Heaven light

I laugh to the sun!

I don’t own my heart in the head

Nor my brains in my heart

I’m drunk with world and I’m pegan!

But would it bear in my yard

So much laughter without the sun’s warmth? And would it blossom on your lip such magic

That you wouldn’t be kneaded

You holly,

Of the hidden-lust of sin?

Just like a heretic I’m thinking and asking myself

From where does the heaven

Gets its light? I know: hell enlightens

It with the flames.

Trei fete/Three faces

The child laughs:

“Wisdom and my love is game!”

The young man:

“Game and my wisdom is love!”

The old man:

“Love and my game is wisdom!”
