Magnet  Schultz  of  China  (MSC)

On  the  3rd  of  September  2013,  Magnet-‐Schultz  of  Memmingen,  Germany  (MSM)  obtained  a  business  license  for  our  new  Chinese  subsidiary.

The  name  of  this  new  group  member  is  “Magnet-‐Schultz  (Suzhou)  Co.,  Ltd.“,    acronym,  MSC.    In

Mandarin  characters  this  would  read,  舒尔兹  电磁铁  (苏州)  有限公司  (which  describes  our

family  name,  in  vocal  language,  as  well  as  our  products  and  location).

The  2000  m2  MSC  manufacturing  facility  (pictured  below),  which  will  be  leased  starting  the  1st  of  January  2014,  is  located  in  the  greater  Suzhou  area,  approx.  1.5  h  southwest  of  Shanghai.

Beginning  in  the  2nd  of  half  of  2014,  MSC  will  begin  to  manufacture,  assemble  and  test  various  sizes  and  designs  of  hydraulic  solenoids.    These  products  will  be  intended  for  use  in  stationary  and  mobile

hydraulic  applications  within  China.    Additional  products  and  applications  are  sure  to  follow,  in  response  to  market  demand.

During  the  ramp-‐up  phase,  the  new  MSC  production  facility  will  be  supported  and  supervised  by  specialists  from  Magnet-‐Schultz  in  Memmingen,  Germany.  The  General  Manager  of  the  new  MSC

plant  will  be  Mr.  Michael  Niebling,  who  joined  MSM  in  January  2013.    Michael  has  worked  in  China  for  the  past  8  eight  years,  most  recently  as  plant  manager  for  a  German  automotive  supplier.

The  quality  imperative  and  expectations  which  apply  to  MSM  Germany  products  for  challenging

applications  will  also  apply  to  the  products  which  are  produced  by  the  Magnet-‐Schultz  (Suzhou)  Co.,  Ltd.  facility.

Mintai  Hydraulics,  Magnet-‐Schultz’s  Chinese  sales  representative,  will  be  responsible  for  bringing  all  Magnet-‐Schultz  products  to  the  Chinese  market  place,  whether  they  are  manufactured  at  MSM  in

Germany,  or  in  our  new  MSC  Chinese  facility.
