Institute Achievements: 1. The Chemical Engineering Department is appointed as a Nodal institute (Chemical &
Petrochemical Sector) by Govt. of Gujarat under the stewardship of the anchor institute DDU,
Nadiad. The department has organized 03 programs in the year 2012 namely, Faculty
Development Program, Performance Enhancement of ETP, Piping System Design.
2. The Chemical Engineering Department is also recognized as Schedule-I Environment Auditor by
GPCB, Gandhinagar since year 2002. The department has completed audit work of 30 industries
in the year 2011 and has undertaken environment audit work of 30 industries in the year 2012.

It is required to pass in all the components of a particular subject. If student fails in any one
or more component then he/ she is considered as failed in that particular subject (backlog of
that subject). Further, it is to be noted that student will not be allowed to go to next semester,
if he/she is having 4 or more backlogs (ATKT).
Students will not be allowed to appear in GTU examination if he/she does not satisfy subject
wise minimum 75% attendance criteria in a particular semester.

teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, or indulging in
rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause
annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any
fresher or any other student or asking any student to do any act which such student will not in
the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or
torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or
any other student, with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off
power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student, in all
higher education institutions in the country, and thereby, to provide for the healthy
development, physically and psychologically, of all students.
