Le radici di Martini affondano nel lontano 1925, quando il padre dell’attuale

Presidente della Società fonda la Martini Timoteo, da cui si origina nel 1971

la Martini SpA. Da anni l’Azienda si esprime attraverso la luce, parlando un

linguaggio del design e dell’architettura contemporanea d’interni ed esterni.

Una lingua universale, che non conosce frontiere e che si caratterizza per

la sua internazionalità.

L’Azienda, grazie alla competenza acquisita e all’altissimo livello di ricerca, è

in grado di accompagnare il cliente in tutte le fasi di un progetto di illumina-

zione: dall’ideazione fino alla realizzazione, consigliando i prodotti giusti per

ogni ambiente e realizzando progetti in tutto il mondo. Dal 2013, la nuova

Mission Aziendale è la ricerca della qualità della luce e il miglioramento dei

contesti in cui l’uomo vive e si muove. Martini SpA vuole disegnare nuovi

ambienti attraverso la luce, mettendo al primo posto l’uomo, con le sue

esigenze di personalizzazione e le sue necessità più profonde. L’Azienda

oggi si è specializzata in 5 settori di mercato fondamentali, che abbracciano

le vite quotidiane di ciascuno di noi: retail, hospitality, residential, office e

urban. I nostri negozi, gli hotel, le nostre case, gli uffici e i contesti urbani.

Martini SpA, inoltre, guarda verso nuovi ambiti e nuove frontiere del

mondo dell’illuminazione presentando nel 2013 una serie di nuovi

prodotti per il settore decorativo e un rivoluzionario prodotto Led,

HD Retina Led.

Martini’s roots go back as far as 1925, when the father of today’s Chair-

man first founded MartiniTimoteo, from which in 1971 Martini SpA then

originated. For years, the company expresses itself through light, speaking

a contemporary indoor and outdoor architecture and design language. A

universal language that knows no boundaries and which stands out for its

international flavour.

Thanks to the competence acquired and the extremely high level of re-

search, the company is able to accompany the client through all stages of

a lighting project: from its design through to its development, recommend-

ing the right products for each environment and developing projects the

world over. As from 2013, the new Company Mission is to search for the

quality of light and to improve the contexts in which man lives and moves.

Martini SpA seeks to design new environments through light, placing man

at the top, with his needs for customisation and his innermost desires. The

company today has become specialised in 5 essential market segments

that embrace the daily lives of each of us: retail, hospitality, residential,

office and urban. Our shops, hotels, homes, offices and urban contexts.

Martini SpA also looks towards new contexts and new frontiers in

the world of lighting, presenting a series of new products for the

decorating industry at Euroluce 2013, and a revolution LED product,

the HD Retina.

Illuminare le cose significa farne emergere i lati più nascosti, impliciti, inaspettati: questa, in sintesi, la nostra

mission. Pensare alla luce per noi significa guardare gli oggetti secondo un punto di vista diverso; significa,

soprattutto, mettere al centro l’uomo e le sue esigenze di vita e di lavoro. Abbiamo un approccio innovativo,

fatto di ricerca e sperimentazione. Applicare una tecnologia non ci basta: ciò che ci interessa è studiarla,

perfezionarla e saperla tradurre in soluzioni nuove e rivoluzionarie che incontrino le necessità del mercato, a

volte nascoste, che amiamo intuire per primi.

Come è successo nel 2010, quando Martini diventa la prima Azienda al mondo a puntare sulla tecnologia

COB (cheap on board) con riflettori, mentre il mercato propone per lo più soluzioni multichip con lenti. Nello

stesso periodo, Martini presenta anche “Youled”, tra i primi cataloghi completamente dedicati ai prodotti Led.

Sempre nel 2010, Martini arriva per prima a realizzare dissipatori speciali per Led COB, grazie al supporto di

software di simulazione termica, ed è tra le prime aziende al mondo a scommettere sull’utilizzo del Led per

l’illuminazione di interni.

Anticipati i tempi anche nella realizzazione di Led COB ad altissima resa cromatica ad alte potenze; tra il

2010 e 2011, Martini è ancora una volta la prima al mondo a presentare un Led COB 50W a CRI 97, ideato

da Giorgio Martini, che ancora oggi rappresenta il Led con la più alta resa cromatica disponibile sul mercato.

Nel 2013, un altro storico passo sulla strada dell’innovazione: Martini presenta HD Retina, il nuovo

rivoluzionario Led ad alta definizione, che sviluppa un’idea di Giorgio Martini e si ispira al modo in cui l’occhio

umano percepisce e ricostruisce i colori.

Un nuovo traguardo che testimonia la carica innovativa che da sempre caratterizza Martini, la sua voglia di

scoprire e sperimentare, la sua capacità di spostare l’asticella sempre verso l’alto quando si parla di qualità

della luce.

RIVoLUZIone “ILLUmInata”

Illuminating things means causing the most hidden, implicit and unexpected sides to emerge: this is, in brief,

our mission. For us, thinking about light means to look at objects from a different viewpoint. Most of all, it means

to focus on man and his life and work needs. We follow an innovative approach based on research and ex-

perimentation. Applying a technology is not enough for us: we want to study it, improve it and translate it into

break-through solutions that can meet the hidden requirements of the market, and we like to be the first ones

to sense them.

This happened in 2010, when Martini became the first Company in the world to stake on the COB (chip on

board) technology with reflectors, while the marked proposed multichip solutions with lenses. In the same years

Martini presented “Youled”, one of the first catalogues completely dedicated to LED products. Still in 2010, Mar-

tini was the first one to manufacture special heat sink devices for COB LEDs, with the help of thermal simulation

software applications. Moreover, it was amongst the first companies in the world to believe in the use of LEDs

for indoor lighting applications.

We were also ahead of our time in producing COB LEDs with high chromatic rendering and high wattage. Be-

tween 2010 and 2011, Martini was again the first one in the world to present a 50W COB LED with CRI 97, devel-

oped by Giorgio Martini, who is still the LED with the highest chromatic rendering index available on the market.

In 2013 we took another historical step along the journey to innovation: Martini presented HD Retina, the

new revolutionary highresolution LED born from an idea by Giorgio Martini and inspired by the way colours are

perceived and reconstructed by the human eye.

The new goal is another evidence of the innovative potential that has traditionally distinguished Martini, its strong

push for discoveries and experiments, its capability to move the bar higher and higher when talking about the

quality of light.

dall’impresa paterna eredita un immenso patrimonio di competenze tecniche e tecnologiche e la spinta

verso una sempre migliore qualità della luce. Due valori che costituiscono la base della nuova Martini SpA,

fondata proprio da Angelo Martini nel 1971 e da lui stesso oggi presieduta; sulle orme della tradizione fami-

liare e imprenditoriale, l’Azienda prosegue sulla strada di ricerca e innovazione guidata da Giorgio Martini,

che – oltre ad essere vice Presidente dell’Azienda – segue in prima persona i processi di studio e sviluppo
