STUDENT PROFILE

HOW CAN YOU ASSIST YOUR CHILD’S LEARNING?

• Keep conversation positive, focus on improving student growth rate and assist your child to set goals on completing the necessary modules each fortnight.

• Have your child aim to achieve a minimum average Growth Rate of 100% which equates to a student making 1 years’ worth of learning new mathematics, 150% equates to 1.5 years’ worth of learning new mathematics etc.

• Ensure completion of set work prior to each fortnightly test, looking at both the online completed modules section and your child’s workbook. Expect your child to revise content prior to test.

• Ask your child to demonstrate the mathematical understanding of the concepts through explaining to you ‘how, why and what the mathematical concept is demonstrating/doing’ not just doing the ‘how the procedure it is done’.
