Current aluminium sheet

Complications:

Complex application

Time expensive installation

Special tools and machinery

required

Expensive and well employed

labour required

9

Aluminium sheet cladding

… after some years

10

Aluminium sheet cladding

Problems:

Leakages

Mechanical damages

Effects:

Infiltration of humidity and dirt

Water condensation

Corrosion of the pipe

Energy loss

Costly maintenance and

reconstruction required

11

Lenzing Customer advantages

Easy handling and space saving storage

50% less installation time compared to metal cladding

Installation with simple mechanical tools and accessoires

Vapor barrier and 100% water tightness

Flexibility and high elongation (approx. 30%)

Weather resistance and therefore suitability for outdoor use

Saltwater resistance

High chemical resistance

Complete system including fittings and tools

for the local production of form partsEnd sleeves

14

Installation

1) Install the form parts (elbows, tees, valve covers) prior to the cladding of

the straight lines

15

2) Cut the Jacketing workpieces from the roll and curl the same around the

insulated pipe

Installation

16

Installation

3) Fix the jacketing manually on the overlap about every 150 mm either by

using a stapler or plastic rivets

17

Installation

4) Apply the self adhesive tape full-laminar and free from creases on all

joints

Journal “Isoliertechnik” edition May 2004: Mr. Enzo Salemi /

insulation site manager: “The major challenge for us was to jacket

total 65,000 m² within a minimum of time. The solution was Lenzing

Jacketing which could be applied easy and timesaving. Further the

material is flexible and has an appealing look. We could work with

cranes instead of the common used frameworks and we saved

around 40% installation time compared to aluminium cladding.”
