This term the school council will be
focusing on charities. We helped prepare
for the Harvest Festival assembly and will
be supporting Children in Need and
Remembrance Day by selling Pudsey
merchandise and poppies in school.
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back from half term. Already we have
welcomed a Hindu speaker to school this week and
look forward to hearing from a Jewish visitor in Collective Worship in a few weeks’ time. Our older
children have loved exploring Norwich Cathedral too. As thoughts turn to Remembrance in the coming
days may I thank you for your support. We shall also
be supporting Children in Need in the build up to 15 th November.
With the colder weather and darker days upon us, please do be vigilant and take care on paths around
school. We are continuing to explore solutions to some uneven paths raised by roots without having to
lose our gorgeous trees. Should we have severe
weather in the coming months please listen to local radio stations and consult
http://schoolclosures.suffolk.gov.uk
for updated information.
It won’t be long before Christmas will be in the forefront of our minds and we look forward to
sharing further information with you soon about
arrangements for our end of term plays.
Yours sincerely, Mr I Page
Open The Book needs volunteers for storytelling and the making of props for school assemblies hosted by our local church community. Your child will be able to tell you about Open The Book, or if you would like to know more, please contact Peter Hobbs on 07890266479 or phobbs@wcevcps.org
From Monday 11th November, we
will be selling Pudsey merchandise
to raise funds for Children in Need.
We are also asking the children to
come to school wearing
spots/stripes/colourful clothes on
Friday 15th November, making a
suggested donation of 50p per child
towards this worthwhile cause.
Thank you for your support.
Thank you to the children and staff who have given up their break times this week to sell poppies and other merchandise in aid of Remembrance Day. Thank you to all parents for your support.
School Photographs Please note that the deadline for school photograph orders is Monday 11th November. Thank you.
Christmas Lunch
The children will be served Christmas lunch on Wednesday 4th
December, when they will be able to enjoy roast turkey and all the
trimmings.
We invite the children to come to school dressed in their
Christmas jumpers to add a festive flavour to the day.
Hindu Assembly We welcomed Martin to our school, who talked in assembly about the creation story according to the Hindu faith. The children enjoyed looking at Hindu artefacts, dressing up in saris, and learning about other people’s beliefs. We look forward to further assemblies from other faiths, including Jewish and Muslim faiths.
The role of the School Council is to be the voice of the school, to set a good example and help
