ProductDescription

MobilSHC600Serieslubricantsareexceptionalperformancegearandbearingoilsdesignedtoprovideoutstandingserviceintermsofequipmentprotection,oillifeandproblemfreeoperationhelpingtoenableincreasedcustomerproductivity.ThesescientificallyengineeredoilsareformulatedusingthelatestproprietaryandpatentpendingMobilSHCtechnologytoprovideoutstandingandbalancedperformanceindemandingapplicationsathighandlowtemperatures.MobilSHC600productsfeatureexcellentlowtemperatureproperties,aswellasimprovedairreleaseperformanceinthelowerviscositygrades.Theseproductsareresistanttomechanicalshear,eveninheavilyloadedgearandhighshearbearingapplications,sothatthereisvirtuallynolossofviscosity.

MobilSHC600Seriesproductshavelowtractioncoefficientsrelativetomineraloilswhichderivefromthemolecularstructureofthebasestocksused.Thisresultsinlowfluidfrictionintheloadzoneofnonconformingsurfacessuchasgearsandrollingcontactbearings.Lowfluidfrictionproducesloweroperatingtemperaturesandimprovedgearefficiency,whichtranslatesintoreducedpowerconsumption.MobilSHC600Seriesproductshavedemonstratedupto3.6%improvementinenergyefficiencyincontrolledlaboratorytesting(*).MobilSHC600Seriesformulationalsoprovidesexcellentresistancetooxidationanddepositformationatelevatedtemperatures,aswellasexceptionalresistancetorustingandcorrosion,antiwear,demulsibility,foamcontrolandairreleaseproperties,andmultimetalcompatibility.MobilSHC600Seriesoilsmaintaingoodcompatibilitywithsealsandothermaterialsusedinequipmentnormallylubricatedwithmineraloils.

WhileMobilSHC600Seriesaregenerallycompatiblewithmineraloilbasedproducts,admixturemaydetractfromtheirperformance.ConsequentlyitisrecommendedthatbeforechangingasystemtooneofMobilSHC600Seriesproducts,itshouldbethoroughlycleanedoutandflushedtoachievethemaximumperformancebenefits.MobilSHC600SeriesoilsarecompatiblewithmostNBR,FKMandmostotherelastomericsealmaterialsthatareusedwithmineraloils.Thereisthepotentialforsubstantialvariationsintheelastomers.Forbestresults,consultyourequipmentsupplier,sealmanufacturer,oryourlocalcompanyrepresentativetoverifycompatibility.
