• Every year, the MYPC is given $10,000

• Moeller students then come up with creative service projects and fill out a grant, asking for a certain amount of money needed for the project

• The council then rewards the money and the projects are carried out

• Can work with girls and people from other schools• Can also work with classes, mentor groups, teachers,

and other organizations

Sweet- so now what?

• YOU- apply for grants by December 12th

• WE- will tell you how much money your grant will receive by January 9th

• YOU-will complete your project by the 23rd of April

Why?

• Brownie points in Heaven with the big guy

• Feel good about yourself

• Can work on projects with girls (they love this sort of thing)

• Looks good on college applications

• Service hours

• You create a service project that helps the community and involves Moeller students and maybe even classes and clubs

• Apply for a grant to cover the cost involved in your project

• If your grant meets our criteria, you will receive a certain amount of money

• You will then complete your service project and receive service hours (and other good things- see previous slide)
