Monitoring Drowsiness and Focus on Drivers Through EEG
Scope of the Project
• Production of a headpiece for Electroencephalography to detect electrical signals from the brain. This includes creating the circuit and using the electrodes for collection of the EEG signal.
• Software to process and analyze the signal in the frequency domain. The software must analyze frequency bands to determine if the driver is paying attention or falling asleep.
• The software must trigger a visual, vibrational, or auditive alarm designed to increase driver awareness.
• Testing with data from database. We will use the electrical signal from the brain of sleeping people.
• Testing with live subjects!
Where YOU (a CSE) could help us
Experience in signal analysis.
Filter electrical signal from the neurons.
Separate signal into relevant frequency bands.
Use machine learning to make a model that can identify when the person is drowsy
Using Arduino to process the data
and activate additional features
