Savage GearChallengesAnglers at theFred Hall ShowOne of the things that a Fred Hall Show is fa-mous for are the specialized seminars for anglers.During the course of the two shows in LongBeach and Del Mar, the Fred Hall Shows willpresent over 600 seminars and workshops. TheFred Hall Long Beach show is 70 years old andthe largest sportfishing show on the planet andthe Fred Hall Del Mar show is 40 years old andspecializes in fishing.

One of the main seminar venues at anyFred Hall Show is the Bass Tank. For the sec-ond year in a row, Savage Gear has decided tosponsor the Bass Tank at both events. So thatmeans that Savage Gear is coming to the FredHall Shows equipped with both an in-boothdemonstration tank for up close viewing andthe giant Bass Tank to watch the lures work insimulated “real life” conditions. The goal ofSavage Gear is that all anglers find their per-sonal-best fish in 2016.

This is only Savage Gear’s fourth Fred HallShow, but the brand has had a major impacton local trophy bass and inshore fisheries. In-corporating 3-dimensional scanning of realbaits along with concepts of primary and sec-ondary lure action, Savage Gear has rest focalpoints of lure performance.

The Savage Gear Line-Thru Trout and all-new Shine Glide will be head turners at theshow and at area lakes. They begin with 3-Di-mensional scanning of real baitfish to captureand deliver precise detail in the final lure.That lure is then optimized with both primaryand secondary action.

Primary action is what a lure does within anactive retrieve. In the case of the 3-D Line ThruTrout, it’s a slow-trolling swimming action of ahatchery trout that has no idea it is on the menuof trophy bass and stripers. Within the 3-D ShineGlide, it’s a wide rhythmic swim that hunts side-to-side on a steady retrieve.

Secondary action is what the lure does onpause. Both the 3-D Line Thru Trout and the 3-D Shine Glide turn to the side with a slight headdown angle…deadly on big fish.
