Description:

FormulaSAEisaninternationallyrecognizeddesigncompetitioninwhichundergraduateandgraduatestudentsarecompetingtobuildanopen-wheeledformulastyleracecar.

Abstract:

Formula SAE is an internationally recognized engineering design competition open to undergraduateandgraduatestudents todesignandmanufactureanopen-wheeled formulastyle racecar.Thedesigngoal of this project is to incorporate a balance between design, performance,manufacturability andcost.Specificgoalsofthisyear’steamistouselearnedengineeringtechniquestocreateavehiclewiththeability tooperateat speedsofup to80mph,andcapableofacceleration, cornering,andbrakingperformanceof1.0,1.2and1.75G’s,respectfully,allwithanoverallweightofjust460lbs.
