Multilateral Education and Interdisciplinary Approach in European Context
The European Union pays attention to the theme of multiculturalism, its influence on further development of European community and search of the ways how to prevent negative phenomena that often accompany it.
The phenomenon of multiculturalism was and is topics of discussions at various levels in individual member countries, including Slovakia. In the past, Slovakia was not, nor is it now, mono cultural. At this territory, culture was and is formed by many social groups, ethnics and nations.
The cemeteries represent a specific community model of the municipal population multicultural relations ethic and aesthetic manifestations of local community
The use of this cultural and historical heritage in the contemporary society is one of the principal requirements of modern monument care also formulated at the international level. In the theory and practice of monument care the monuments have not been paid sufficient attention.
Multilateral Education and Interdisciplinary Approach in European Context
Select a themeCemeteries are the places of rest of the inhabitants of towns and villages lying side by side regardless of their former status, social position, diverse opinions, religion, significance or success in life.
The cemeteries are documents of ethnic, confessional, professional and demographic composition of the population of towns and villages in a certain historical period
documents of coexistence of cultures, in which the mutual interconnection was not an affair of incident, and had a remarkable influence on a number of aspects of life of the society, including the social and economic ones
a place of meeting with the nation, community, family, and the art, as well as with themselves
a picture of culture and relation of the present generations, their interest in these places, many a time negative
Multilateral Education and Interdisciplinary Approach in European Context
The aim is to enlarge the knowledge, protection and presentation of this specific neglected part
of cultural heritage and its involvement in educational programmes
to deepen and intensify vocational training of students of relevant scientific disciplines by obtaining specific knowledge and adequate skills for this specific (not common)
kind of their future professional performance, and widening and deepening the interdisciplinary and multicultural relations
to enable teacher-student cooperation in multinational groups and acquisition of experience they could hardly obtain at one institution and thus to gain a new view of
the topics they study
to enable exchange of views of the curricula, and new curricular approaches among teachers as well as the testing of teaching methods in the environment of
international group
The basis of project MEIA-EUC are results of the projects
