MURI Goals

• Provide substantive multidisciplinary research experiences for IUPUI students;

• Encourage faculty to engage in research that crosses disciplinary boundaries; and

• Serve as a catalyst for innovation and sustained funding from external agencies.

MURI Projects

• Active participation on a multidisciplinary research team. • Relationships with faculty mentors.• Focused attention on an innovative, significant research

question.• Development and practice of substantive research

methodologies.• Demonstration of effective oral, visual, and written

communication skills.• Reflection regarding personal growth and academic and

career goals.

Expectations

• Sincere desire to learn research skills• Respect and courtesy to mentors, team

members, and CRL staff• Dependability• Willingness to contribute approximately 120

hours of work to project• Attendance at required meetings• Completion of assignments
