Murraya paniculata

Creating a perfumed garden wall

Orange Jessamine white Murraya, commonly called Orange Jessamine is an evergreen shrub that

grows to 2-3m tall and up to 2m wide which creates an excellent hedge. It has small darkish green leaves that have a glossy texture. The flowers are white and up to 5cm long with a sweet orange blossom scent, and are in abundance in spring, late summer and autumn. Murraya is suited to many garden styles, in particular formal gardens when hedged.

Murraya paniculata ‘Min-a-min’ is a dwarf variety, which grows to 0.5-1m tall and makes an excellent low growing hedge. This is a slower growing hedge but requires little maintenance once established.
