My friend Hyppolite

My sister met Hyppolite when she was studying. They became great friends. He then became my friend. However, Hyppolite has a very different life to us. He comes from a very poor country called Rwanda. He lives in one room with his family and has to work very hard to get enough food to eat. Unlike us, many children in Rwanda aren’t able to go to school and learn. Some don’t grow properly as they don’t have enough food to eat. Before we met Hyppolite he had never had a birthday celebration and was very shocked when we

surprised him with a birthday cake.

I am asking for your help!I would like us to help Hyppolite and the children who live in Rwanda as they are very poor. There are many who don’t have a school they can go to.

It will also be exciting to learn about the country of Rwanda and how different it is to England.

Rwanda is a very poor country in Africa.11 million people live there.

Children in Rwanda don’t have schools like the one we have. There are lots of people who help them and give them money to build schools. Let’s help them too.

It’s very famous for its Gorillas and Golden monkeys

It will also be very interesting to learn about Rwanda Rwanda is an East African country whose green, mountainous landscape is nicknamed “Land of a Thousand Hills.”

Let’s begin our project with RwandaI would like us to start helping children in Rwanda and communicate with them. My sister is going over to help some children very soon and I said we would send a small box with her to bring to a school over there.

What could our box contain?• Old books• Pictures• Pencils • Letters

Each class can donate an item for our box. I think they will love to receive some letters from you.

Next Friday my sister will come to collect our box at assembly.
