Hey PACURH! (...Hey What???)

2015 UO PACURH Delegation

Every Adventure Starts With a Story

Last year someone had been voted as the NCC for the 2015-2016 academic school year during RHA Elections. Right before the NACURH 2015 conference, they decided to step down. Hamilton East’s Hall Government President, Erika Goto, stepped up immediately and became the University of Oregon’s NCC for the 2015-2016 academic school year. Unfortunately, it was too late for Erika to be registered to go to NACURH. Instead of looking at this situation as an obstacle, Erika made the best of this situation and connected with the delegate going in her place so she could be as involved as she could be with the NACURH conference as she could. After being voted as NCC, Erika additionally joined the University of Oregon’s National Residence Hall Honorary so she could be as involved in housing as possible.

In her short time of being NCC, Erika has already proved to be a valuable member to Housing.

We are excited to see what other amazing things she does as NCC for the remainder of the year!

RHA Newsletter

Excerpts from the RHA

Newsletter

This year Erika connected her academic endeavors (journalism) to RHA and started the very first RHA Newsletter. The RHA Newsletter is sent out monthly to every single resident at the University of Oregon. The Newsletter not only advertises what RHA is and their events, but it also informs residents about each Hall Government’s Events, University of Oregon’s National Residence Hall Honorary, what PACURH and NACURH is, and conference updates.

The RHA newsletter is revolutionary for residence life at the University of Oregon because not only are residents able to know what happening within the residence halls, but those who participate within Hall Government, RHA, and NRHH are able to get recognized.
