Friuli Venezia Giulia is Italy's north-easternmost region, and one of the five regions withspecial statutes. The county seat is Trieste. Its iconic city center is Piazza Unità d'Italia, which islocated between the large 19th-century avenues and the old medieval city, composed by manynarrow and crooked streets.
