Did you know that a company
that experiences a computer
outage lasting more than 10
days will never fully recover
financially? 50% will be out of
business in 5 years. As we
enter hurricane season, it’s
always good to be prepared for
the worst. Forecasters have
predicted this to be one of the
busiest hurricane seasons with a
prediction of 18 named storms,
10 hurricanes and 5 intense
hurricanes with winds over 110
mph. Small businesses may be
in even more trouble. 70% of
small firms that experience a
major data loss go out of busi-
ness within a year. Of compa-
nies experiencing catastrophic
data loss, 43% never reopen,
51% close within 2 years and
80% of companies who do not
recover within one month are
likely to go out of business.
You need to be prepared for the
worst. 75% of companies with-
out business continuity plans
fail within three years of disas-
ter. If your company doesn't
have a plan in place, you
should start planning now. A
disaster plan and adequate in-
surance are the keys to recov-
ery. You want to not only have
a plan in place but it should be
carried out before hand so your
employees know what to do.
Not only should you plan to
clean up your damage but you
want to have a place to do busi-
ness out of if your building has
severe damage. Flood Control,
Inc. can help your company set
up a disaster recovery plan. By
setting up a disaster recovery
plan you are ahead of the game
and if a hurricane or any other
disaster comes your way we
will have trucks with equip-
ment ready to clean up the mess
and return your location to
working condition.
Forecasters are predicting a very active hurricane sea-son.

It Has Been a Busy Spring!
This spring was been very busy
for Flood Control. With the

very hard with a 500 year
flood. The Opry Mills Mall,
one of the properties Flood
Control was cleaning, was
flooded with more than 10 feet
of water. Rhode Island and
Massachusetts were hit very
hard too. Our teams worked
hard to clean up hundreds of
homes and businesses to per-
