EDITOR – “SCOOP” Hi Everyone I promised a newsletter before we headed
off to South America and as we are going on
Tuesday 19th Jan this is it. We are doing the
Compass Expedition Tour: Patagonia
Explorer and won’t be back home until
February 14th. I am going to do my blog as
we travel so if you are interested go to
pixieon2wheelspatagonia.wordpress.com
Content and photos will depend on the
internet available but hopefully it will all go
well.
Also on the personal front we have brought
a house, 33A Iles Road, Lynmore and will
be moving in on the 26th February so it is all
go here at the moment with both tour and
house packing going on.
I have managed to get some “stuff” together
for the magazine but it is a bit brief so my
apologies but again I have not received
anything to report from anyone but the co-
ord and Mal.
Anyway have a lovely summer and I will
see you on our return.

Hi Everyone,
Greetings to all and wishing you are all well and the best for
2016. Now that the silly season is behind us we will be
looking forward to some good rides in the near future.
In the early part of last month about half a dozen bikes and
trikes, including a back to front trike from Taupo, took part
in an overnighter in Napier and returning to Rotorua over
the Gentle Annie and Waiouru. A great ride and jolly good
company. Our Christmas break up party at Mal and Lynda’s
place was well attended and enjoyed by all. Once again a
big Thank you to Mal and Lynda, from all of us, for open
your home for that event. Rumours have it that a few of our
members are taking overseas trips. Good on you and my
wishes for an enjoyable time and a good experience.
National Committee have sent me the New Motorbike
Raffle tickets to be drawn at the National Rally in Westport
this coming March. These tickets are available now at $10
each and I will take them to our Saturday morning meeting
at the Lakefront and to our Branch meeting on Sunday the
24th of January.
Just a reminder for those who have not as yet renewed your
membership for 2016.Please do so before the end of this
month.

NOAH THINGERTOO SAYS :-
A recent study has found that women who carry a little extra weight live longer than the men who mention it. Rumour has it that a certain Ulysses couple are sailing the waves of the pacific as we read this, hope they are being truly disgraceful. Another couple are heading to South America, watch out for those gravel roads, heard they came off (on gravel) over the summer, luckily no broken bones or even bruises. I hear Mr B lifted the bike off Mrs B all by himself so I think she is in good hands. Well not so much to report this time, guess everyone is behaving or just keeping it quite? N.T.

Napier Overnighter: Story & Photos from Mal
A ride to Napier was undertaken by Mal & Linda, Peter & Lyn, Bruce & Christine, Jack and Hartley. Johan &
Diana joined us in Taupo. We stayed @ The Quality Inn, Marine Parade, Napier. Great place to stay. Fun in the
pool, wining & dining & dancing @ the local RSA were the order of the weekend, with plenty of rest in
between times.
We cruised back over the Gentle Annie in inclement weather on Sunday, stopping @ Waiouru for a cuppa &
bite to eat.
A really great weekend with fellow Ulyssians, hope we do it again this year!
