Next Mustang Meeting
Wednesday December 5, Baja Bar & Grill 1366 Old Freeport Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15238
President’s Greeting To All Members
Hello to Everyone, Thanksgiving is almost here and I hope everyone is preparing to have a fun and full day of eating with Family and Friends. It is a day to be thankful for everything that you have. I am especially thankful for all the members who have helped me this year. I have really learned many things and have received help from members when I really needed help. Sometimes it does take a village to get everything accomplished. As a club we have had a good year and have gotten to know each other more with all the cruises and activities that we have all attended together. We all have many things to be grateful for in the friendships that we have made by owning our Mustangs. We do have our elections at our next meeting which will be on December 5 at the Baja Bar and Grill in the Fox Chapel Yacht Club. We have a few positions open so if anyone wants to play a more active part in the club now is the time. Anyone can run for any position but Merchandise and Board member is open. Winter will be a slow time for us but please check the web and newsletter for upcoming activities. Tim is planning a Wheeling Nailers Hockey game on December 15 and our Holiday Party is January 19th at Salvatore. A flyer will be in this newsletter with all the information about the Holiday Party. Please bring any unwrapped toys for our Annual Toys for Tots Drive to the December meeting. Please, they are requesting no stuffed toys. Also a very special THANK YOU to Bill and ValJean Rossman for organizing the drive and delivering all the toys. Hope to see many of you at our upcoming events and if you have any suggestions or recommendations please talk to me at a meeting, event or wherever you see me. You can also email me at president@gpmc.org. I welcome any and all suggestions to make this everyone’s club. And lastly as many of you may know our club was asked to participate in the WPXI Holiday Parade on Saturday November 24th. We have 14 cars and 2 members carrying a banner. Please set your DVR and wave Hello to our members participating in the parade. Or you can brave the weather and say Hello in person. See you soon, Danielle Lane, President GPMC Don’t forget, when in doubt, check the Club Website at gpmc.org before going to meetings, events or
cruises, for any announcements regarding inclement weather delays or cancellations.

Our Activities Director Tim the Tour Man says:
Activities Report – December 2018 Hello everyone! As the holidays approach, the Club normally has a lull in the activities as celebrations with families and friends take precedence. However, that does NOT mean that there are no activities! Upcoming Activities: First up is another Wheeling Nailers game on December 15, 2018. The game starts at 7:05pm, so as we've done previously, we will meet and go to dinner somewhere before the game. This game has several special features. First, there will be an appearance by pro wrestling legend Mick Foley, who has appeared

as various personas including Cactus Jack, Mankind, and his own name. According to his Wikipedia page, he is 4-time world champion, 11-time tag team champion, and the inaugural WWF Hardcore Champion. BUT, if pro wrestling isn't your thing, no problem! It's also ugly sweater night, so dig out your best example and get on the big screen. If neither of those float your boat, it's also Teddy Bear Toss night. Please bring a plush figure and hold onto it. When the Nailers score their first goal, everyone gets to throw their teddy bears onto the ice. They are then retrieved (naturally) and donated to local needy families for the holidays. Ticket price is $15 and I will collect the money at the December meeting, at Baja Bar & Grill on December 5. The next event is a group outing to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in Duquesne on Saturday, January 12, 2019. We will get a tour of the facility and the opportunity to help them with the work that they do helping to provide for those in need in our community. Our "shift" will be from 9am to 1pm. Please remember to bring some non-perishable food items to this event. Afterward, it's likely that we will go somewhere afterward for lunch. Suggestions are welcome.
*****If you are interested in Hockey Night in Wheeling or the Food Bank opportunity, please send an email to Tim at activities@gpmc.org.***** Finally, don't forget the upcoming Holiday Party on January 19, 2019. Details and the reservation sheet are provided elsewhere in this newsletter. Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings to everyone! Tim Baker GPMC Activities Director activities@gpmc.org

Hero Firefighters Save Vintage Shelby GT350 from California Fires
Associated Press photographer Ringo H.W. Chu
As you assuredly already know, the ongoing California wildfires have caused so much destruction on such a large scale that it’s hard to put it into context. Countless homes, acres of forestland, and even lives have been lost as a
result. Meanwhile, a host of brave firefighters continue to battle this massive blaze. Putting their own lives on the line to stop the destruction. Which includes, apparently, saving the life of one lucky 1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 in
Malibu. For the rest of the story by Brett Foote, The Mustang Source.com, click on this link: https://themustangsource.com/firefighters-save-vintage-shelby-gt350-california-fires-28608/
