• Northern California area, defined as north of Fresno

to the California/Oregon border

• Formed in the summer of 2000

• Merged with the Bay Area OAUG January 2001

• 9 board members: 8 elected, 1 appointed

– Serves a two year term

– Election held every year for 4 board positions

• A forum for sharing information and experiences on

the selection, implementation and effective use of

Oracle e-Business Suite

• This change was dictated to us by the OAUG to

remain an affiliate

• The old site is still up but will no longer be

maintained

Membership

• No cost to join the Northern California Oracle

Applications Users Group (NorCal OAUG)

• You do NOT have to be a member of the OAUG to

be a member of the NorCal OAUG

• You do NOT have to be a member of the OAUG to

attend NorCal OAUG events

• You DO need to be a member of the OAUG to

access NorCal OAUG presentations and papers

• NorCal OAUG Membership is now moving over the

OAUG

• It looks like we won’t be able to move over the

current membership lists, users will need to reapply

using the OAUG registration mechanism

• In the past Registering for a NorCal OAUG Event

would automatically register you in the NorCal

OAUG.

• We still have to figure out event registrations and

how this will be done off of your OAUG Profile.

• Over 1,000 papers and presentations from Seminars and past Training Day events – You must be an OAUG Member to access them

• The web site and email are our primary methods for communicating with the group – We are still working out how we are going to send email

Training Days

• Last one was August 26, 2014

• These are full day conferences

• Typically 9 rooms x 6 sessions

• Minimal cost ~$95 in advance to offset meals and

AV equipment costs

• Typically free passes available from exhibitors

• We are working with OAUG to hold what they refer

to as a Connection Point event in the SF Bay Area

• Stay tuned for more details

Board Elections

• Held in Spring each year – 3 weeks - ballot nominations 4/25 - 5/15

– 1 week - confirm ballot 5/16 - 5/22

– 2 weeks - for the elections 5/23 - 6/3

– 1 week - count votes, confirm board 6/4 - 6/11

• Each year 4 positions are elected

• Term is 2 years

• Board Members must be OAUG Members – This change was dictated to us by the OAUG to remain an affiliate
