Nouns in German are special

O They are always written with a capital letter

O There are 3 groups of nouns, so each noun belongs to a group

Groups O Each group has its own word for ‘the’

O When you learn a new word, learn the word for ‘the’ that goes with it, then you will never go wrong

Kasus - Case

In German there are four cases:

Therefore the iPod is the doer and is in the

nominative case

KasusThe receiver of the action (verb) is in theaccusative case

Therefore, aniPod is in the accusative case

As you can see “der” words are the only words that change in the accusative case

Regel - Akkusativ
