Highlights of Year 2010 Programme

The opportunity for us to practice the Vajrayana Tantric Buddhistteachings is due to the effort of Guru Padmasambhava (popularly knownas Guru Rinpoche) who is revered throughout the Himalayan ranges asa 2nd Buddha. He set the foundation of Buddhism in Tibet by assistingin the set up of the first monastery, Samye Gompa. He subdued manyevil deities who converted to protectors of the Dharma. He has alsoinfluenced and established countless beings in the pure practice of theBuddha Dharma through the Vajrayana teachings and in particularthrough the activity of the profound terma treasures.

Though Guru Rinpoche is no longer with us in form, mere recollectionof Him removes obstacles and bestows upon us many blessings.Courses in 2010, aim to create opportunities for all to build andstrengthen our faith and bond to Guru Rinpoche with special emphasison meditation practice as the means towards gaining experientialinsight and realization.
